The proposed amendment to the by-laws was ratified by the membership. There were 25 votes in favor and 1 against. Article 8, Section 4 now reads: "All present and future members of the VPPA shall pay a one time initiation fee of $20.00 to the Treasurer within 7 days of request. Failure to pay this fee will result in expulsion or denial of acceptance into the VPPA. This fee can be waived by the Executive Board at their discretion."
These funds will allow us to pay a filing fee to the Internal Revenue Service to gain status as a non-profit organization and cover some other minor expenses until we begin our fund raising efforts. Please give Ed Zorich the cash no later that December 8, 1998.
